A Thought from Dave

"Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is …..."

John 4:10

Such a fascinating event takes place in the fourth chapter of John.  I love this event because we read how Jesus takes a person from death to life.  What's fascinating is that this is not a well known individual; in fact, I don't even know her name.  All we know is that she is the woman at the well and I would suggest probably not a woman we would consider well educated at that time.  She matures from someone who has no idea who Jesus is; verse 10"… if you know…who says to you…", to telling people about Jesus, verse 29 "Come, see a man…"  Another fascinating aspect about this event is verse 39, "from that city many of the Samaritans believed in Him…" A whole city was affected by this woman's testimony!!  You see, we don't need a well known name, a tear jerking testimony or even several degrees from college to be used so that "many believed in Him."

Let's pray to be like Peter and John in Acts 4:13… "They were amazed, and began to recognize them as having been with Jesus."
