Give... and be patient

I don't think that I normally struggle with patience... but I do.  When I am serving or giving of some sort, I often find myself being impatient when it comes to wanting to see the fruit from my effort.  The times that I don't see any fruit, or if I see evil in return, I really lose heart and feel that God must not be in it..

1 Thessalonians 5:14-15

4 And we urge you, brothers, admonish pthe idle,1qencourage the fainthearted, rhelp the weak, sbe patient with them all.  15 See that tno one repays anyone evil for evil, but always useek to do good to one another and to everyone

Lord, cause me to be patient in the midst of giving my life away.  Cause me never to return evil for evil, but to seek to do good to everyone.  Cause me to give as unto you and trust you with the results... if any.  I confess that I pre-determine what results I think are appropriate and that is just wrong.  Lord, I thank you for your patience with me and I pray you would cause me to be patient with others.
