Leviticus 25:18 " So you shall thus observe my status and keep my judgment's so as to carry them out that you may live securely on the land."
Wow! The book of Leviticus is sure full of laws, rules, regulations and stuff, isn't it? However, when I think like that I wonder if I'm focusing incorrectly. According to verse 18 God is looking for people who have listening hearts which lead to obedient lives. One theologian puts it this way, "If we obey God; even when it doesn't make sense, we can trust He will provide our every need."
As David says in Psalm 13: 5-6, "But I have trusted in Your lovingkindness……He has dealt bountifully with me."
Oh Lord my God, I pray for a heart that listens and obeys You.
